Who's afraid of George Bush?

So I'm listening to the news the other day. A young marine is stationed in the god-forsaken region of Afghanistan, complete with fist-sized camel spiders, IED's (why aren't these called land mines?), sand, sun, but without water, or English speaking people. He commented that it was the closest thing he could imagine to hell.

So many people put the blame for the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan on George Bush and the US congress. I'm not. Who cares about what some officious bureaucrats do in Washington. Most of these people couldn't tell an AK-47 from M-16. The real problem with America, and the people that really scare me are the children hanging around the recruiting office next to Staples at nine in the morning, the friends of that young marine near Kandahar. People who would gladly go half way around the world to shoot at people they don't know on the word of a few people whose real claim to fame is that they won a popularity contest. Make no mistake. There are people up in Washington who write things down on magic paper (It must be magic because when people read it they jump up and start doing things they would otherwise never feel they had the right to do.) These people are just like you and me, except of course they are violent and evil, but they would never have the guts to do they things they are convincing others to do. It's not the politicians that scare me, it's my neighbors, especially the ones with uniforms and guns.

If it weren't bad enough that there are Americans that would happily shoot you, me, and any brown person they can find, they are stealing from me to do it. No actually, they are borrowing from my great-grand children. They don't even have the nerve to come to my house and steal from me, to buy their bombs, and their guns, and their tanks, and their ships. They just tell the Chinese, "We can't pay for it now, but someday, some American will pay you back."

What can I do to stop these people?
